Rise & Change offers creative and cultural activities for children and young people, grounded in care, participation, and self-expression.
Our work grows out of real needs and local contexts, and is shaped together with the people who take part.
What We Do
Creative workshops

Art-based workshops using painting, mixed media, and creative reuse. Participants explore imagination, self-expression, and confidence in a safe and supportive environment.
Dance & movement

Movement-based sessions focused on rhythm, energy, and body awareness. Activities are adapted to different ages and abilities and encourage joy, confidence, and collective expression.
Storytelling & dialogue
Creative storytelling, conversation, and reflection through words, images, and movement. These sessions create space for voice, identity, and shared experiences.

Community & school projects
Longer or recurring projects developed together with schools, libraries, youth centres, and community spaces.
Activities can take place during school time, after school, during holidays, or as part of special cultural initiatives.

Creative work developed together in school settings, focusing on process, participation, and expression.
Exhibitions
Exhibitions are an important part of Rise & Change’s work. They give young people the opportunity to share their creativity, stories, and perspectives with a wider audience.
Our exhibitions often grow out of workshops and longer projects and are developed together with participants, focusing on process, expression, and shared experience rather than perfection.

Exhibition produced and curated by a partner gallery, in collaboration with participating artists.
Upcoming events
We regularly organise public events such as showcases, open workshops, and community gatherings connected to our ongoing projects.

Partners & Places
We collaborate with schools, libraries, youth centers, galleries, and cultural organizations. Our work has included collaborations with local actors such as Chisel Studio in Rinkeby, as well as Studiefrämjandet .
Rise & Change is also a member of United Soul , contributing to and learning from a wider network of community-based cultural initiatives.
Our activities are primarily for children and young people, roughly ages 6–25.
We work inclusively and welcome participants with different backgrounds, experiences, and needs, including children and young people with different abilities and support needs.
How we work
- Small to medium-sized groups
- Process-focused rather than performance-driven
- Flexible formats adapted to each context
- Led by professional artists and facilitators
Safety, respect, and participation are central to everything we do.
